We like change!

Looks like this season is going to be full of new begginings. I finally got that raise I was hoping for, a whole .29 cents...which doesn't seem that impressive, but that is about 600$ more a year. Better then nothing, right? right.

Mark and I have decided to be extra physically active this season, and forever more. We are working out every day, no matter what! Mark is working with a personal trainer, and doing some of the gym classes with me. I love having a gym membership, so helpful. We have been going to spin classes and I love them, I want to certify and teach spinning someday...I think I can do it. I am also running again, and I am up to 1.5 miles in 12 min without stoping, so I am on the right track. I am hoping to get myself to 5 miles non stop by the end of june.

I have volunteered to be part of my works month of fitness and weight loss by joining the 'biggest loser' challenge. if I lose the most weight in the month of may out of 10 people, then all of the money raised will go to my favorite charity, I have chosen 'casa de los ninos'...I am excited and nervous! I don't like to have others depending on me to lose weight, but it is really good motivation :)

We went to the pima county fair this past week, it was a lot of fun, and a good way to kick off our fitness month ;/ Mark and I ate so much fair food...it was awful! but the next day we started our new goal of getting in shape. It was worth it :) So far this month is looking great...guess we will just have to live it and see :)

Spring is Here!

I have not written this in a while, but that's okay, I doubt anyone is actually reading it anyways. We will just call this my little marriage journal.

Mark and I are coming up on our 7 month aniversary, but it feels like we have been married for years. I was thinking yesterday driving home from work, how I have never enjoyed being with one person so much in my life, which is kind of crazy for me. There is not a moment that we are not laughing and having fun talking with each other. He is a wonderful husband, and I find myself being very lucky to have him.

We are teaching primary together now! I am so happy to finally be teaching with him, I will be honest in saying that I have never been so happy being released from a calling then when I was released as choraster to be with Mark. We teach the valient 9 class, which is 9-10 year old boys. They are so cute and it is such a fun class! I love teaching primary, and the coolest thing is that we get to see these boys grow up. hopefully they will always remember us as their cool teachers :)

I am still working at APAC, though I am feeling a little burnt out. I just need a vacation or a raise to help motivate me. Otherwise I might be looking for a new job after I reach my year mark in september. I love my job, but I just don't feel like I am being challenged enough anymore. Mark finished up his golf season well, he played in almost all the tournaments and managed to place in the top 5, which is really good. Now he is going to practice hard this summer so he can play in the tucson amatuers. It stunk to have him gone to play in the tournaments, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make for his happiness, I am very proud of my little golfer.

I have a new hobby now, it is going on nature walks and taking pictures of the things I see. be it people, buildings or all things nature. It is a great way for me to forget about work and stresses and focus on just how beautiful this world is! I am also going to try scrapbooking the pictures I take, but I think I will wait to scrapbook till I have the money to support the habit. I bought a couch too finally! it is beautiful, and I got a great deal on it! Plus Ana gave us her old kitchen table, so our place is finally looking like a home instead of a bachelor pad. Now just to get into a house! that will be the ultimate goal. If I get that raise, then maybe that goal will be closer in reach.

Well, Mark and I are very happy, life always has it's trials, but I can never say I am not blessed. Heavenly father is really looking out for us and we have always been taken care of. I am very grateful that divine design put mark and I together, because I could have never been happier then I am now.
