New Chapter

Today was my last day as the HR Generalist for APAC. Last week I gave my two weeks notice informing them I have accepted a new position with Premier Building group as their HR Coordinator. It is a strange feeling to know I will not be going back. Five years with them, a lot of up's and a lot of downs. I had imagined my last days, wished I could leave, but now that it is real, I'm sad. I will miss all of the faces I saw everyday. The employees who I tried so hard to take care of. My amazing co-workers I was with everyday, they will always be my friends, they have taught me so much. I cried a bit over the last week, but I know it is for the best. My heart is heavy, but I have hope for our future.

I'm excited for this new chapter in my career. I've already started working with the new company, and everyone is very nice! I'm looking forward to starting full time on Monday. Mark will also finish his last day at Vans tomorrow, starts his new accounting job with KLK on Friday, classes start the 25th, so he will be a busy boy! Though change is hard, it is necessary to progress.

Grateful for the opportunities the lord has given us, just pray it all works out.

my work friends gave me a 'dammit doll' for my going away present. This is genius!

Horton Family Reunion 2014

It had been over six years since my whole family was together, grand kids, kids and parents, all 23 of us. So we decided to get the group together, and stay in a cabin in Smoot Wyoming. We had a blast! It was loud, it was crazy and tons of fun. We stayed up each night till 2am singing karaoke, dancing and laughing. I loved seeing my nieces and nephews, they are so wonderful, beautiful and smart. Wish I could see them more often, but it's fun to see them grow. Lily loved all the attention from her cousins. Ben wanting lots of kisses, Brianna bringing her presents and Rebecca carrying her everywhere. Lily loves her cousins.
Thursday we went to Jackson hole, watched a gun fight, ate ice cream and admired the $150,000 rock table. Friday we celebrated Bens sixth birthday at Bear Lake. The water was so blue and refreshing, we loved it! Brothers rented a boat, mark tried inner tubing for the first time with my mom. Eventually he had to fall off so my mom could get off, but he held on for a long time! We also rented a trampoline on the water with a slide, the kids had so much fun. We then went to garden city for raspberry milkshakes, I could definitely spend more time there, cute little town. We were burnt to a crisp from all the sun, but it was definitely worth it. It's crazy how fast seven days goes by when you're having fun. We will get together again in 2016, can't wait to have all of the crazy hortons together again!

we had a couple days in SLC, so we went to the museum of curiosity, loved it.
