Nachicho Months 7-8

This boy is growing SO FAST! Can't believe how fast time is going, he's already wearing 12 month clothing! He's had his first swimming experience, ammusment park and beach experiences this month and is crawling both on his belly and knees. He has also began standing against furniture, but crys for someone to get him down cause he has not mastered the task quiet yet. He did so well while we were at Disneyland. We carried him in the ergo carrier and kicked his legs happily as we went visiting the sites while one of us went with the older kids on rides. It was some long busy days, but he handled it like a champ. I started taking him to gym childcare at both the club and crossfit, and he loves it. I was shocked he did not cry cause he does if I leave the room at home, but he feels totally comfortable at childcare, which is good for me. He loves to eat solids! If you are chewing something, he will lean into your mouth to try to get some of what's inside. Carrots, pears, puree peas and mashed bananas are his favorite. He is great about keeping to a routine and is by far our easiest baby to read. We know exactly the pattern to his care, which aliviates alot of frustrations. He does not like crawling on the turf grass out back and will lift himself in a downward dog pose and cry until someone comes to pick him up. He laughs at everyhting Jacob does and loves to have conversations with lily using baby bable and eyebrow shrugs. He smiles all the time! I'm convinced that it is just naturally how his cheeks rest. He loves to give kisses and cuddles, and loves to play with this family. Love love love this boy of ours so much and thank heavenly father often for him entering our life.

March to April 2022

Lots to say about the last couple months, havent had much time to write all our happenings! The kids were on spring break in March, so we went to Disneyland Theme Parks and Universal studios with the kids. It was a really fast three days and we wish we would have stayed longer. Hopefully we can return in October for a week instead of three days. We had such a great time, and even Nacho enjoyed himself. We also got to go to the beach which was supposed to be just a stop and look visit to the beach, but then the kids decided to go all in (crazy kids). We had a wonderful spring break. April brought Easter, which we celebrated both at home and in Tucson so we could celebrate with our moms and Auntie Clarice. I love spring in Arizona, the weather is so perfect, wish it could be like this all year round! However it is also the months that we end up with colds and stomach flu. Now that we don't hybernate at home due to covid, we are back to getting sick each April. We had a bought of stomach flu, started with Nacho then the older kids and I got it, but Mark lucked out. It was a bummer, but we survived. The kids are doing really well in school, and we are so proud of their love of school. Lily had her first orchastra concert, which was simple but great considering she didn't have a violin for most of the year, we went cheap on buying an instrument and got what we paid for...oops. We went to the Pima county fair to carry on our Ontiveros family tradition. It's a good opporturnity for us to pay tribute to Pop-pop as we share stories with the kids about dads childhood and his life with his dad. I love this little tradtion, it's good for the kids and for Mark who misses his father everyday. We also had lots of sports stuff this past month. Lily and Jacob participated in flag football this year and loved it. Jacob has a natural talent for it and we will more then likely sign him up again. Lily played on a team of all boys who have been playing together for years. I was nervous for her at first joining this team and feeling like she did not belong, but they were all so sweet with her and made sure she had every chance to participate. And, comon, it's Lily, that girl doesn't feel intimidated by anything! She had a great time. They also started playing basketball with the Jr. Suns league. They both have always loved basketball and did great! I think we are going competative league next time. Overall we are doing good, healthy and happy. Nacho is growing like crazy fast, crawling everywhere, standing and eating everything we make (except he HATES baby food. He'll only take food I make for him. And not a big fan of fruit.) He brings so much joy into our lives that we never knew we needed. Love our little Chicho SO MUCH!!
