Baby on Brain

I am starting to look for baby clothes, and it is so fun! In Oregon I purchased a few outfits, and Grandma O (great grandma O for the baby) bought her a couple pairs of shoes that are SO cute! I bought her a pair of 'skinny jeans' that I know she will only fit in for a split second if she truly is our daughter, but I just couldn't resist! Here are a few pics of the outfits I found.
Her first pair of skinny jeans...sweet!

Oh yes, my daughter WILL be stylish

This outfit is cozy and snuggly...oh she is going to be smothered!

I am still however paranoid about miscarage. I have been blessed so far in my pregnancy with having zero complications, all tests for abnormalities and hereditary anomolies have come out normal, and everytime I go to the doctor to hear the heart beat they say she sounds great...so then why can't I just relax! I have a few friends who are prego, one recently had a miscarage and the other is on a feeding tube to keep the baby & mom nourished...so I should feel blessed and lucky...but I still can't help but feeling that something is going to happen! I have had a total of 10 miscarage dreams that feel so real and it freaks me out! This is classic me, paranoid about things that are out of my control. I need more faith, my poor daughter is going to think I'm a nut!

OH, OREGON...

I had the wonderful opportunity to visit my hometown of Portland Oregon. Mark was unable to come with me because of school, so I got to go with my mom and sister. We had the best time! Everyday I would think...'and WHY did I leave?!' Though...I needed to in order to meet Mark...but blah blah blah, I miss it!
I got to see some of my friends from highschool that are still living near by, meet their children and see what beautiful woman they have become.
We walked the waterfront, visited saturdays market and then got some doughnuts at Voo Doo doughnuts. The best part was reminising on old times with my wonderful friends. I love how after all of these years of being apart, it still feels like we can talk as if we never separtated.
We also visited our old neighborhood, the old house is still just as beautiful, however with some minor changes that make it feel like it is not my old home. So many memories in that house. We visited the old ward, lots of the same people I grew up with are there and it was awesome to see them.
We then went to the Oregon Coast and visited the beach, at some clam chowder at Mo's and enjoyed all of the beauty that I have missed so much. We went to the Tillamook Creamery, ate some yummy icecream and bought lots of cheese...oh yeah. Other then that we did lots of shopping, I have missed the style of portland clothing and how fashion actually matters! It was a nice change. Someday I hope that mark and I can live in Portland, but until that becomes a reality, guess I will just have to visit. I LOVE OREGON!

What our Baby Will Look Like

So, I am bored, and don't want to go to bed yet...so I started playing around with something called 'Morph Thing'. It combines pictures of mark and I to see what our child will look like...funny!

This is what our daughter will look like...I can see it.

This is what our Son will look like...I can see this too.. Kind of looks like one of marks cousins.

But this! This is really scary! What gender is it? No sure. This is our child as an adult...yikes! hahaha!

Baby Room on my Mind

So since finding out that we will be having a little girl, all I can think of is what I want to decorate her room like! True, it is still months away...but I am excited! Mark and I had a deal, if the baby was a boy, then he would be able to choose the decorations. This would have ment 'sports memorabilia' would have be thrown up around the room. And if a girl, then I would choose the decorations. It feels good to win!
So here are some of my ideas. The theme is 'baby bird', because ever since I found out I was prego, I have been calling her 'my little baby bird'.
Color scheme: blue, yellow, and nuteral colors. I will throw in some dark pink or lavendar to make it more femine. This invitation displays more of the color scheme i am going for, minus the brown. I don't want it to be dark and drery, but light and calm. Painting the walls an egg shell or a light mocha brown.

Room decor and Layout: The below pictures are what I would like the room to look like more or less. This photo is what I want the feel of the room to look like, peaceful and bright.

And this room displays the photo of the bird on the wall. The wall would have pictures of baby birds in my color scheme, and I would have to make the enviroment look soft.

I am also going to attempt to paint a picture of a tree beside her crib. I have a lot of work ahead of me. But I am so excited! Can you tell?!

IT'S A GIRL!!!

Say hello to our baby girl! She is now weighing in at 11 oz., still scheduled for arrival on February 21st 2012 and perfectly healthy!

Mark and I are so excited. Though, Mark is still saying it is a boy (only because the doctor said that could happen with any girl prediction)...but i really do feel that it is a little girl. During the ultra sound, while the doctor was examining the legs and feet, I knew that it was a girl. Then the doctor confirmed that to me by saying "I don't see anything dangling and this looks like the parts of a girl."

I am so excited to have a baby girl. In this photo, though it does not do it justice due to it being a picture taken by my phone, it looks like she is smiling. She also opened up her mouth a few times to suck on her fist (an appetite like her mom and dad), and she was moving around like crazy! I think the doctor was getting a little annoyed with her because every time she would try to snap a picture, she would move again! I hope she is just getting out the jitters now so she can be calm and peaceful for mommy when she is out :) (as I am writing this, she is moving...wild woman!).

So...names. Mark and I are torn between, Amaya Tiana Ontiveros or Naomi Ella Ontiveros... so hard to come up with a name. We'll see what we feel her name should be as she grows. She is going to be so beautiful! I just know it! She is going to have her daddies gorgeous eyes!

Yay for Fall

My favorite season of the year is fall. I love the lower temperatures, I love halloween, I love the smell of pumpkin and cinnamon and I LOVE conference weekend. Conference was beautiful, and it is especially fun to know that you can stay in your pj's all day if you wish. Mark and I made breakfast this morning and enjoyed not having to be anywhere. It is just wonderful.
I usually get sad when conference is over because it will be another 6 months till we get to hear to words of the modern day prophets, but this time I was happy. I was excited with the thought that next conference in april, mark and I will have our new little family member. I love it! So excited.
This coming friday we find out the sex of the baby, we are rooting for a boy, which means we are probably having a girl...but either way, who would be unhappy with a girl?! So far, I am not liking being prego, it is exactly what I thought it would be like, but, makes me all the more excited to see my little sweetie.
I love fall, I can't wait to be in oregon in two weeks, there is just so much to look forward to!
