Nacho is 6 Months

Nachito bogito is now 6 months! This boy is the sweetest little man ever. He gives the most beautiful smiles all the time, so playful and loving. Gives us kisses and cuddles often. He is a huge daddy fan but loves all his family members and smiles when someone new walks into the room. He is moving around more and more everyday. He does a cool catepillar crawl across the room and i'm schocked does not have a rugburn on his face from it. And as of yesterday is starting to use one knee to help himself scoot across the room. He will be crawling very soon. He sits up well, but still tips over, it'll happen soon enough. No teeth yet, and we haven't started solids yet, not till his doctors appointment. He has tried a pickle, apple, cake frosting and apple sauce. So far the pickle was his favorite. He loves to be outside during our walks and he loves playing with his books. He has had his first cold, which we think may have been covid, but can't be sure since we can't test him. He had a fever for three days which sucked, and still has a little cough runny nose. Having a sick kid is the worst! But I guess he'd have to catch something at some point. Just glad he is okay. He also loves his bouncer and is constantly moving. That boy is like Jacob, can't stop moving around! We love our Nachito so much!!!

Nacho Months 4 to 5

Now, for the most beautiful child ever. Yes, I speak of Mr. Nacho. Holy moly how we love this boy! He is the sweetest and seriously most beautiful human ever. I love looking into his beatiful eyes and tell him that often. He gives the most amazing little smiles. It's almost like he is saying 'yes, I know you want a smile, so here you go.' last couple months he has been learning to sit up. Not quiet there yet without assistance, but he is sure making his moves around the family room. He will scoot himself backwards to get to things. Sometimes he will scoot himself into a corner and get himself stuck, which he is not a fan of. So we've had to move all legos and small toy items out of the family room because he will get to them. He gives the yummist kisses and they make me want to cry! They are just so beautiful. We have introduced him to the jumper and he loves it. He will play in it till he falls asleep, and then quickly wakes up and starts to jump again. He loves to be outside and go on walks with us. He is very observant, and will look all around him to see what is going on in the world. It is so much fun to see him watching and observing everyone. He has the cutest chubby cheeks, but is not a chubby baby, totally average weight. BUT he is so tall! he is wearing 6-9 months right now because the sleepers wont reach his shoulders. He is 89th percentile for height. He loves to grab at things, especially daddy's beard. He will hold on to it while he sleeps. He loves doing it so much that he will try reaching for it when I have him and grabs onto my loose face skin! hurts so bad, but soooo woth it. I'll need to grow my beard out just to satisfy him. He has the most beautil little hands, I love them so much. He will caress my face and it makes my heart leap. Seriously, I am amazed that one can love a little person so much when they already thought they had no more love to give. It's always strange to imagine another member of your family, but amazing how when they are hear it's like you've always known them. I am so in love with our three babies, it causes me lots of anxiety to think of anything bad happening to them. I just have to trust that they will be okay as Mark and I make the best decisions to keep them safe. They are my world! And little Nacho makes it feel so whole. Oh, and we finally blessed him on December 5th. The tradition has been performed. Mark gave him a beautiful blessing, to which a member of our ward recorded and I'll have to write the words in his journal at some point in time.

Christmas 2021- January 2022

We had a great Christmas here at home. We had family come in on Christmas eve to celebrate, and had a great time doing some of our traditional stuff. Nacho got to experience his first Christmas, which he will never remember. And we were all healthy this year with no covid scares. We also went to Tucson to celebrate with Grammy, Auntie Clarice and Aunt T. We went to Schnepf farms Christmas light festival a few times, once with Uncle Andrew, Whitney and Lucy. And to a few other Christmas light festivals around town. Lily and Jacob enjoyed the fun that their Christmas elf on a shelf brought them, which included a new elf joining Candy Cane, Ticky, who is now Jacobs Elf on a Shelf. They are so cute about the elf and the surprises it brings, makes the season so much fun for them. Christmas day we went to Schnepf to go Ice skating for the first time (for the kids, not me) and they had so much fun! Lots of falls and sore bums, but by the end lily was skating without help and Jacob was speed skating with the walker. We will definitly go back next year. The season was filled with fun, most I can't remember now that it's been a couple months, but I know we had a good time. I guess that's why I take pictures all the time so they can tell the story.

Then came January. We celebrated the new year at home, eating yummy food and playing games. Then the next day Amma and Tata came to celebrate with us and our seafood feast. January always feels so long, and it didn't disapoint this year. Nothing really eventful occured. We may have had covid, but not sure cause we never tested and just stayed home till we all felt better. Sore throats, low grade fever, chills and body aches is all the kids and I got (Nacho a little fever for one night, not much else) and by day three, it was gone. Really weird, never had anything like it. Did not feel sick aside from my throat hurting and body aches which I thought was because i'd returned to the crossfit gym, but then it was gone day three. My respiratory rate was elevated but didn't feel it had changed and my oxygen saturation got down to 88 percent one night, but didn't even feel it. Again, not a 100 percent it was the Omicron variant of covid, but it was definitly not something I've had before. The kids were fine, just sore throats. Just about everyone we know got the same sickness, some were worse then others, but it is short lived. Sure hope it was covid, so I can stop feeling like I'm playing tag with this virus. It wouldn't be January if we didn't have sickness of some sort in the house. The kids made a goal every morning in January to wake up early so they could get hot chocolate at school, but they could never get there in time before they sold out! So we went to Dutch bros one morning before school, they were very happy about that. Oh! and Jacob got on honor roll and Lily got Principals pride, very proud of these smarty pants. Other then that, nothing exciting. But February? Can't wait! Lily is turning 10 this month...WHAT?! Can't even believe our beautiful lil lil is going to be 10. Unreal.
