We've been in Gilbert for almost one month so far. Kind of crazy!
We had a fun month, busy...but fun!
Halloween was spent in Tucson because I had to go to the home office on Friday, so we upheld the tradition of Trunk or Treat at the Rincon Stake and Halloween night Trick or Treating at my moms.
We had fun dressing up. Originally I wanted to do the whole cheesy family thing where we all dress up in theme. I thought about how cute the pictures would look with me and mark dressed as Super Fans (Vikings football) and Lily dressed in a Viking's Cheerleader costume with Jacob as the football. But then, I started thinking about what was fun for me at Halloween time as a kid, and it was choosing my costume. Why would I want to take that away from Lily? Because 'I' wanted a stupid picture?! Not cool. I asked Lily what she wanted to be, (one day vampire, the next day Zombie) but then she finally decided to be a superhero. So, she became, SUPER LILY (dun dun dun)! Which was perfect because now she has a play costume around the house and I don't have to tie anymore blankets around her neck to be a superhero. I LOVE the fact that she is into superheros. She still enjoys her princesses, but how cool is it to be a Super Hero?! Today she told me she wanted to be a police officer...yeah, my kid is awesome. ANYWAYS...for the trunk or treat, she was Queen Elsa. Her Grammy had been trying to make an Anna costume for Disney on Ice and was not able to complete it on time, so I told her to finish it for the church trunk or treat and she could take lily around as Anna y Elsa. On Halloween, Mark and I were still able to wear our U of A stuff for the game, and Jacob was a football as planned.
It is so fun to see Lily enjoying Halloween, she loved all the spooky ghost stuff. We had been watching Hotel Transylvania together, and now she pretends to be Mavis (Draculas Daughter) and I'm Dracula, Mark is Frankenstein and Jacob the Mayor (which is not in the movie? oh well). She got lots of candy, which is difficult to keep away from for all of us...but we are limiting ourselves...sometimes.

| Chic-fil-a had a Halloween party, lily had a fun time playing the games. love it when local places do fun stuff for kids. |
And now, for this little dudes 4 month update:
I don't think I said anything last post, but now he is almost 5 months. Jacob is the sweetest most wonderful little boy ever! (bias cause I'm the mama). He is still in the 16th percentile for weight, which is normal for him, but is in the 75th percentile for height! Complete opposite of his sister who was short and stout. Jacob loves to watch his sister, he could watch her with a smile on his face all day! He now has two little teeth popping out, so he wants to chew on everything. Still a schedule baby: eat, play, sleep, repeat...makes it really easy to know what he wants. He loves to cuddle, which can be difficult for working...but I'm not complaining. He is very ticklish on his belly, laughs when you change his diaper and tickle his feet. He tries to communicate by grunting when you ask him questions, so I assume he's got a lot on his mind. He is sleeping in his own bed, about 6 hrs per night, which is good, but then he rolls over and ends up wanting to wake up after that. He has tried ice cream, and soup...but we are going to start introducing baby food soon as the doctor gave us the go ahead (can't believe it's so soon!). Love my precious sweet little boy. I probably kiss him a million times a day, and it is still not enough! He makes my heart happy. Him and his sister are the best kidos a mommy could ask for!

| oh, and his able to hold his own bottle! Growing up too fast! |
