I am now a graduate with a Bachelors in Sociology for Brigham Young University Idaho! It feels great to be finished with classes. I am going to be working in the human resources departement for a company called APAC, which should help to bring in the bacon till Mark finishes school. I am now home, able to be with Mark, our long distant journey apart is over and now we can focus on the rest of our lives together. We are hoping to find a house, since the market is so low right now and Obamas tax break for new home buyers, it seems like the best time to get into a house. There are less then 2 months left till the wedding and we are feeling the pressure of getting everything set for our future marriage, but whatever happens, happens...at least that is what Mark tells me. For some reason, I am not as stressed as I thought I would be? Everyone else around us seems to be stressed out for us, but Mark and I don't understand what all the fuss is about the wedding and the marriage...can't we just be happy and let that be enough? We are not getting married to have a wedding, we are getting married to share a life together. Everyone is different, Mark and I are very laid back people (him more than me) and whatever does not happen, we will live without.

Seeing the Light!
This past weekend Mark came up to Salt Lake with his Grandma Betty to attend his cousins dance recitle. I got to go and visit him and stay with him and his family for the weekend. It was so awesome to see him again, but all it did was play with our emotions!
It is going to be so nice to be able to be with eachother again! Mark told me that he is sick of me leaving him, good thing this is the last goodbye or we would really be having a hard time. This may sound pretty cheesy, but our favorite thing is to cuddle up with eachother and talk about how wonderful things will be when we are married. Hopefully this optimistic vision of our future life will not change.
So many people seem to have opinions about marriage. "It won't be as amazing as you think", "give it a couple of years and you will want him gone", "it is the best thing to wake up next to your best friend every morning"...so who is right? Does it all depend on your feelings of the person before you get married? Or is there a general consensus of what marriage is like? All I can say is that Mark and I are willing to take the risk. We are best friends, and I can't remember being happier with someone ever...especially a boy! July needs to come faster, and we need to be together...cause waiting sucks! And we are excited to prove all the un happy couples out there wrong. Sorry for being optimistic, but at least I am happy :)

Still waiting...
So it is now 4 months till the wedding, and I am SICK of waiting!!! It is just getting harder and harder to be away and I feel like I am taking crazy pills! School is getting more demanding, wedding plans need to be made and I don't even get to see my babe to make me happier! I would suggest to everyone out there contemplating a long distance relationship to NOT DO IT! Though, I wouldn't change being with Mark for the world, it is just really hard have to kiss goodnight over the phone. Right now I am waiting for him to call so I can say goodnight, but I think he might have fallen asleep. If I was there I could just attack him! *sigh*
Two more weeks and I will see him for about four days, then it is not till July 23rd for graduation that we will see eachother again. I am being told by family that someday I will wish we could be long distance, but I don't think I would wish this on my worst enemy.
I purchased my dress! It is so pretty, not what I had expected to buy. It is a mermaid style dress with a long train, cap sleves and lace edges on the bottom of the dress. I saved a lot of money and I am going to look like one hot bride...though I should probably be going for purity...oh well!
I just need time to go faster, mark and I need to be together and this wait is killing me! I can do this!!! endure, endure, endure....

A Wonderful Week
A Week ago, I went back to Tucson for the One Week break from school. It was so much fun! What made it so much fun ofcourse is that Mark and I got to spend all week together. He had a chance to show me all the things around Tucson that he wanted me to know about. I had a chance to really get to know his family and finally celebrate our engagment. Easter was a lot of fun, The Ontiveros family joined the Horton family to celebrate the resurrection of our saviour.
On Thursday we went to the Pima County Fair, I hadn't been to a fair in years! Mark had fun having me try all of the goodies at the fair, but in the end it only caused him to get a stomach ache! haha aww...
We got to fall asleep in eachothers arms and dream of the time when we won't have to say goodnight and goodbye. It felt harder then ever to say goodbye this time. Though it will only be three months till the time I will never have to leave him again, it still feels so hard to know that the time won't slow down for us, or that time won't speed up when we are apart. Talking on the phone does not have the same excitment, cause it is so much better to say I love you when you are in eachothers arms.
I will graduate in 2 months now, and then i won't ever have to say goodbye to Mark again, but I am going to keep on praying the lord will keep us safe till we can be together again. I know that the lord needs us to go through this trial so we can strengthen our love and endure the test of time. Most distance relationships don't seem to last, but ours seems to be enduring stronger then ever. I love Mark very much and am grateful we had such a wonderful week and glimpse into our eternal future together.

Our Story
Andrea’s side: I saw mark for the first time at an FHE. I was talking to two friends, when this boy comes by us, holding hands with a girl and gives us a “pound it“. The thought that came to my head was what a goober! That guy thinks he is so cool, I would like to break down his confidence. The next time I saw him, he was trying to convince our friend Roger to forget about a girl he liked that rejected him and ask someone else out on a date. I began to encourage roger as well, and then I started making fun of mark about him liking the Jonas Brothers. I really wanted to break him down. He got a brutal taste of my personality. A couple days later, my friend sarah calls me asking if she was allowed to give my number to a Mark Ontiveros, I didn’t remember who it was at first, then she reminded me, I told her I didn’t care if he had my number. That night he called and asked me out on a date, I told him he was lucky cause I would usually say no to dates with guys I don’t know very well (lie). We did a double date with Roger and a friend. Mark was 2 HOURS LATE to pick me up for our date! I almost told him I was not going to go, and go Latin dancing with a friend instead. But because I was hooked on my book Twiglight I decided to wait, but I would never agree to another date again! When I asked him why he was late, he said he was choosing his fantasy football team, typical mark! We went to Rogers and played this cheesy dress up war game and made ice cream. It was the best date I had ever had!! It had nothing to do with what we were doing, but who I was with. I had never felt so comfortable and close to anyone so fast in my life! I didn’t want the date to end, I wanted to laugh with him all night. When he dropped me off, I went in for a hug, as I do at the end of every date, and he stuck out his hand and pounded my hand! I was shocked! A guy who didn’t want a hug from a girl?! Crazy. I was a little embarrassed, but then I thought it was awesome that I didn’t have to hug him right away. I knew at that moment, he and I would be really close friends. After that he wanted to hang out as friends almost everyday. We would share with each other our goals in life and help each other put life into perspective. We were becoming best friends. It took him a few weeks to tell me about a girl he liked that was at school in utah, but he confided in me about his feelings for her and I listend. As his friend, I encouraged him to do what he could to be with her. I had zero intentions to be with mark, he was ONLY my friend. Then just before he left to Utah for conference to visit the gal, we went with a group of friends to Mt. Lemmen. Whenever we were in groups we were never really “with them” but were separated into our own little world. It was that night that I knew for the first time that I had fallen for mark. I began to sing the song dreaming of you by Selena to him as a joke and little did I know, that is when he fell for me too. He left the following day to Provo. I didn't want to lose him, but I would never let him know that. Later that Sunday he called me to tell me the details about his time in Utah and apologized for not realizing it sooner. He said the entire time he was with the girl he thought he liked, all he could do was think about me and that he wanted to be with me more...which at that point i was beaming! I was very happy because I wanted to be with him. Then he came back, we went on a couple more dates and the rest is wonderful history :)
Engagement Story
Mark was coming up to visit me from Arizona on Thursday the 19th, I was really excited to finally see him after 2 months of being away from home. I was making all the preparations for his stay and it was all i could think about the entire day. He had been texting me throughout his trip, telling me where he was and when he would get into Rexburg. Then at about 12:30 noon, he sent me a text telling me that he had fallen asleep waiting for the shuttle and had missed it. So he was not going to be able to make it to Rexburg till the next day and would be staying at his uncles in Salt Lake.
I was so sad and upset that I would have to wait to see him one whole day (and trust me, that was to long to wait!). I began to think it was funny he had fallen asleep waiting for the shuttle because mark can fall asleep through anything! However, a piece of me hoped that he was going to surprise me. The time that he would have arrived had passed, so feeling sad, I decided to take a nap in hopes I would wake up happier. I woke up from my nap with a text from mark, telling me that he was looking for my apartment on Google earth and asked if my apartment was to the left or the right of the tennis courts. I sent him a text back saying, "honey, why are you asking me that?" I jumped out of bed, my heart pounding and thinking "HE IS HERE". As soon as my shoes were on I got a text back from mark saying that he only asked because he was bored at his uncles. I was crushed, feeling empty once again, I began to take off my coat...then, looking through my back window, I see mark walking down the street. He had his cell phone in hand and duffle bag in the other, I could spot that boy a mile away. I threw on my coat once more, yelled at my roommates that mark was there and literally ran out the door to go and meet him. I practically jumped on him and gave him a kiss, he was excited to see me, but then said I had ruined his surprise (which I usually do ;) ). We went back into my apartment, kissed, gave him some hot chocolate and then he told me to open up the bag of goodies my mom sent with him. I opened the bag and there was a bag of chocolate, he told me that there was something inside that I needed to see. So I opened the bag and inside was a yellow note that said "Will you marry me?" and to my right, mark was holding a ring box and he was on one knee. We both tried to hold our emotions, we embraced, I put on the beautiful ring he picked out himself and then held each other for about thirty minutes before telling anyone we were engaged. Even though the proposal did not happen the way Mark had planned. It was still the best way for us.
Peer Pressure
Okay, So I decided that I should probably start a Blog because it is getting to be the popular thing to do...and I apperantly need to be a sheep and follow the flock. So here I go. This is just to share with those I love some of the things that are going on in my life, and give everyone an opportunity to laugh with me and at me...hope you all enjoy my silly and beautiful life :)
