Utah Getaway

We have been in Utah with my sisters family for the last 42 days...and it was WONDERFUL!

We were supposed to return home last weekend, but on our way home, 3 hours into our trip, our van was showing signs it was not going to make it. We pulled over in a town called Brian's Head, and had a tow truck take us to Panguitch, UT. The funny thing is, I wasn't even upset about the whole thing. It was a super long day, but fortunatley i have an amazing sister who could come pick us up and take us back to Orem and an amazing husband who took care of everything to get the Van taken care of. We also got to join the town of Panguitch in their town rodeo and they gave our family a free meal. So the day was not too bad. And we got to spend another week in Utah...so it was a win!

We loved our time in Utah. Beautiful summer weather, swimming at the Lindon pool and visiting splash summit. Going to the mountains, Hammocking, biking, swimming in the lakes and streams and enjoing being outside everyday. Eating lots and lots of ice cream. Playing with Kodiak, feeding the chickens. And being with my sister's wonderful family...is it obvious I wish we were still there? It made my soul happy to be there. We want to do this every summer if we can. It's good to be home, but I just wish it wasn't still so ridiculously hot!

This was actually our goodbye to our garden, which is now completely dead. so worth the sacrifice.
BirdHouse, Best Chicken sandwich ever! We drove an extra hour to page on the way home just to eat eat.

My favorite place in Utah thus far, Alpine. So beautiful and the most peaceful place to visit.

We visited Uncle Andrew and Aunt Whitney in Twin Falls, ID. We loved spending time with Lucy in her stomping ground.

Nanita watched the kids for us one weekend so Mark and I could getaway to Park City. We had a fun time watching the Olympic trainee's and hiking around PC. I love spending time with my BFF.

Mark and I were still able to do CF, at Utah Valley CF. They were really great and let me do my own stuff. They took this picture of us working out one day. This is called, trying to make up for the icecream shakes.
Like I said...Lots of icecream was eaten this month. So worth the weight gain. No REGRETS!
Kodiak like to munch on everything, from shoes to Jacobs arms...but we still love and miss our fur cousin.

Splash Summit Birthday fun to celebrate our sweet Ben. What an awesome boy this kid is. Such a sweet patient cousin to my kids who were very needy for his attention. Always willing to make the day fun. Sure going to miss his help every day.
My sister is the best story teller ever! The kids love it when she reads, and plays puppets with them. We love Aunt 'Ta-tita'.

Lily started 3 rd grade as well. Online learning instruction through her school. Lots of school work, but we are starting to get the hang of it. we will continue with Online until October and then determine if we'd like to switch to in-person learning depending on how crazy all this dumb Covid stuff is going in AZ. It was honestly a blessing that the school decided to give the parents the option. Allowed us to spend much needed time away and help my stress of her possibly getting herself and family sick.

Jacob loved Kodi. Though some days he said he loved him less due to the nibbles, he saw this pic of him and Kodi and said 'aw, I miss my fur ball.' He is truly a sweet dog.

Lily was so funny in this. She said 'mom, want to smell this flower with me?' We smell it, and she says, 'mmm, smells like nothing.' hahha
Water Baby Olympics! We had fun doing obsticles for our fat water babies. Ben is a great artist and made hilarious faces on his babies. In the end, my fat baby took home the gold medal. haha

And Jacob was pretty sad when his Killer Kroc baby died. hahaha
Cool summer nights were the best! I miss these types of summer days.

Lily has been asking to do the 'Color eating Challange'. So, we did it. Each of us picked a color at random, and then we went shopping for our food. We could only eat food that was the color we were given. Turned out to be pretty hard! Ben got Orange, Lily Red, Jacob and I green. It was fun to do though.

Bridal Veil Falls, my second place to be in Utah. The air, so fresh.

We spent Monday's at the Lindon pool, lots of swimming and basketball. So much fun.

Lily's face below cracks me up! She looks so uncomfortable!

We stopped at the Creamery in Beaver on our first attempt home. Best grilled cheese ever! and the kids had fun at the exhibit.

Our time in Panguitch. Beautiful little town, and some of the nicest people. The kids made some friends, and we were even given a watermelon to take home. lol, small towns are awesome.

Aunt Nanita to the rescue! She drove three hours to come save us after our car was towed to St. George for repairs. She is the best sister ever!

Hammocking is the best! Though it made Mark nervous. lol!

And then...we came home to smoke in the Air and a fallen tree branch from our front tree. Take us back to Utah!

And some more pics i couldn't figure out how to get them in the right place. oh well.
