February 2020

This was a fun month, lots of celebration, from Valentines to Lily's birthday and visits from family. We had a great time.

First off, fun friends. I have a great group of friends. Ones from Church, and ones from my CrossFit family. I've always struggled with female friendships, cause women are just always so scared to appear imperfect. Well, I found my tribe. These women make me laugh so hard and I feel truly blessed to call them friends. We had our annual ladies night, and it was Red Neck Valentines theme. I was going for Nascar Shirtless man, but the rest of the ladies were so creative! I love my crazy ladies.

Then came Valentines day. We went to our usual family date night spot for Valentines, Fogo De Chao. Dressed up and gave our valentine to eachother. We had a wonderful night celebrating our love for eachother. Love these humans!

Then came Ms. Lily's birthday! Can't believe my girl is now 8 yrs old! She is my heart. And such a blessing to our family. She's incredibly smart, loyal, and hilarious. She is always trying to make people laugh, she dances all the time, no matter if there is music on or not. No matter the situation, she always stays positive. She had a boy that was being unkind to her at school recently, which I tried to make sure she knew how to handle, but all she said was 'meh, I don't let him get me down. His parents are just not raising him right' lol! She loves art and expressing herself creatively. She loves to play basketball, and kickball. She always strives to do her best and is a bit of a perfectionist (not a mom trait). She tells me random facts from the books and shows she watches, she soaks up information like a sponge! She is sure that she can accomplish anything in this life she wants, no matter how impossible it may seem. I've never known anyone with as much confidence as this girl of mine, and honestly, she will accomplish anything she works hard for. I am so excited to see what the upcoming years have in store for our girl, cause she is going to rock this world. Happy Birthday to the love of my life!

Funny story, we had lunch with Lily on her birthday at her school, had pizza, met some of her classmates. But the little girl holding onto Marks arm wanted to talk to Mark the whole time! He was so cute with the kids and was having fun goofing around with them, but he was a little unsure about this little girl who would not let go of him! lol! It was great.

We went to Jakes Unlimited to celebrate. Lily got a Unicorn Taco! HUUUUGE

Mark got me a bouquet for Valentines day and my Lily happend to bloom right on Lily's birthday! It remided me of her newborn pictures in the hospital. Can't believe that was 8yrs ago, she has truly bloomed into one beautiful Lily.

We celebrated her birthday party with friends the Saturday of her baptism. We only invited a few of her closest friends to Jakes Unlimited and the kids had lots of fun playing around. She has a pretty adorable crew.

And other random February pics...

Mark and I dying after a workout. I love that we can do this together. He is such a support for me to continue trying to better myself. I hope I do the same for him.
Vanity pictures, cause I'm a mom who doesn't usually look like I care. Meh.

Jacob and his friend Tate meeting the fire fighters who came to Elevate to help a dad who broke his leg jumping a trampoline during toddler time. It was pretty hilarious for us, not so hilarious for him i'm sure...but the kids got to see inside the fire truck.

my little daredevil boy.

January 2020

I don't know what it is about January, but this month always feels so long to me? Maybe its coming down from the high of the holidays or maybe working on new year goals...I don't know.
With that being said, I'm trying to figure out what we did this month, cause it feels like I missed a few months of writing, but I did not.
January, we got back into the swing of things, kind of. Right now we have been home for a week due to the nasty flu/cold/or whatever it is that has been circling around. But, it's getting better.
We visited a lot of parks and enjoyed finding new fun places to spend time as a family. Making fun memories is the most important thing to both Mark and me. So, if we are going to splurge on anything, it will be entertainment. Fun times are the best times.

We went with my mom at the beginning of the month to Old Tucson (first time visit for me) and we had a great time with her. Our favorite part was the stunt show, and Jacobs favorite part were the Can-Can dancers. lol.

Then later in the month, we purchased membership passes to a place in Gilbert called 'Jakes Unlimited'. So, now all our family nights will probably be spent here riding bumper cars, playing laser tag and video games to justify the monthly cost...but like I said, entertainment and memories priority #1.

Jacob and I ventured out with some friends to try the new trampoline park. It is so much fun! Even for me.

Mark and I have been working on some of our goals for the year. One of which was paying off all credit card debits, which is done! yay! And we've been working on physical goals, which can be an up and down slope. But overall we seem to be on a good path. I attended two clincs this week to improve my Snatch lift and learn Double-Unders. They were helpful, now I just need to apply what I've learned. Mark's back is feeling better, and of course, killing it as always.

Do these two look sick to you? They've had fever, cough, diarrhea and lily threw up in class when I tried to return her back to school. But no matter how bad they may be feeling, they are still always trying to play and have fun. I love these two crazies so much it hurts!
