Updates and Such

(a few blog posts I procrastinate to put up...so dates vary)

Things are going pretty good lately, we are getting anxious for Mark to graduate with his masters this week, have the baby and move to Phoenix. I know before we even realize it, those moments will approach ('time seems short, even in its longest days), but I guess we just need to be patient.

The pregnancy is going well so far. My paranoia radar has not dropped. Lately I've been panicking because has hiccups about 3-5x a day and I'm concerned his ambilicule cord is around his neck or in a knot. Yeah, I know I'm crazy. But better safe then sorry right? Let's see if my OB can order an ultrasound to calm my fears. I've also been having some Braxton hicks, or irregular contractions. Seems too early for 32 1/2 weeks.

Update: Week 33, had an appointment today, and looks like the little guy is showing at 34 and a half weeks instead of 33. They are going to order me an ultrasound too see how big he is which is great! And I get to see my baby, which excites me. Just pray all is well.

We do not have a solid name for him yet, some ideas, but not going to reveal the name till he is born. We do know we will have Randy be his middle name, after Marks father. It's hard to settle on a name, I'll try saying a name outloud, and it will start to not feel right. Mark is still set on Teddy...which will not happen. That's a nickname! It'd be nice if they came with a name certificate, like a cabbage patch kid. Would make things A LOT easier.

Update: we are thinking Jacob Randy (J.R) Ontiveros...nothing is official till he is born, but it sounds nice.

Lily is getting more excited about having a little brother. She likes to give him kisses on my belly and go through his things to say 'this is for my baby brother'. a few nights ago, she woke up (though looked like she was still sleeping) and asked me to 'move your scarf so I can kiss baby brother', no clue what she was asking and then she began to lift my shirt to get to my belly. She gave my belly a kiss and then went back to sleep. I love that girl. She is such a sweet kid! I know she will be an amazing big sister.

Trying to get together all the items we will need for the babies first few months, it's nicer this time around because we have most things we need, are making more money to afford the things we don't and have enough experience to know what will not be necessary. We are excited, just pray it all works out and he and I are healthy and safe.

We've been enjoying some of the spring time fairs. Spring fling and the county fair were lots of fun. I'll add some pictures.

Lily's first Roller Coaster!

We are trying to look for ideas for homes while in phoenix. Hard to do since we do not know the area. As long as it is in a 20 minute radius of marks work, we can try it out. I'm really nervous about this transition. Very grateful Mark has job to go to, and a great career ahead of him, just nervous about moving away from family and friends. I'll be alone, Mark will be busy working. I am going to be working from home, which my work has given me the verbal okay to do so (which i'll wait till it's officially happening to make it a reality), so maybe that will help ease the lonliness...but we'll see.

I had a great Mothers day. Mark did a good job with making me feel special. However, the reality is that this is a time for us to celebrate our mothers, so I know that until my kids are old enough to spoil me, it will be the grandmas who get spoiled. We made the moms and grandma dinner and gave gifts. It was nice.

Really looking forward to Marks graduation. It almost seems surreal that he will no longer be in school. He just needs to pass the CPA exams this summer and he will be a certified accountant. I'll post about it before the month is over...if I remember! I'm excited for our upcoming adventures, a little overwhelmed but hope for the best.
