Lily Temple Pics
Pictures taken by our friend Haylee Bridges. She did a wonderful job on these pictures. Dress by Grammy, pearls from Amma, she felt so beautiful. My favorite part of the day was walking around the temple with her to discuss why we go to the Temple and tell her how proud I was of her. Cherish these photos forever!
Lily's Baptism 2.21.2020
Our sweet little Lily bean made her first covenant with her Heavenly father and her first of many steps to follow our Savior Jesus Christ. She was baptized by her daddy, and was smiling the whole day. We had some family in town to enjoy the day, her Aunt Nanita came from Utah with Sam and Ben, Amma and Tata, Grammy and Auntie Clarice, Grandpa as well as Darla and Aunt T. I didn't do a good job of inviting her friends from church, but she had a few friends come too. My mom said she'd felt the sprit of my Abuelita strongly during the baptism and we could honestly feel the spirit of family who had passed, cheering her on. We are so very proud of our sweet girl, for the positive, obedient and just all around good girl she is. After she was baptized, and came towards me from the water, her eyes lit up, and she had the biggest most joyful lily smile on her face. I wish I had gotten a picture of it! it was just pure Joy. She kept saying 'I just can't stop smiling, I feel so happy right now.' I hope she never forgets that feeling from her baptism. She is going to do amazing things in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I can't wait to see what the future holds for our bug.
This made me laugh. Nothing is perfect in life. Of course our witnesses were oblivious that they were supposed to be in the front, so this is Mark saying 'where are the witnesses?!' lol (my dad and ricardo...old people. lol!)

February 2020
This was a fun month, lots of celebration, from Valentines to Lily's birthday and visits from family. We had a great time.
First off, fun friends. I have a great group of friends. Ones from Church, and ones from my CrossFit family. I've always struggled with female friendships, cause women are just always so scared to appear imperfect. Well, I found my tribe. These women make me laugh so hard and I feel truly blessed to call them friends. We had our annual ladies night, and it was Red Neck Valentines theme. I was going for Nascar Shirtless man, but the rest of the ladies were so creative! I love my crazy ladies.
Funny story, we had lunch with Lily on her birthday at her school, had pizza, met some of her classmates. But the little girl holding onto Marks arm wanted to talk to Mark the whole time! He was so cute with the kids and was having fun goofing around with them, but he was a little unsure about this little girl who would not let go of him! lol! It was great.
We went to Jakes Unlimited to celebrate. Lily got a Unicorn Taco! HUUUUGE
Mark got me a bouquet for Valentines day and my Lily happend to bloom right on Lily's birthday! It remided me of her newborn pictures in the hospital. Can't believe that was 8yrs ago, she has truly bloomed into one beautiful Lily.
Mark and I dying after a workout. I love that we can do this together. He is such a support for me to continue trying to better myself. I hope I do the same for him.
Vanity pictures, cause I'm a mom who doesn't usually look like I care. Meh.
Jacob and his friend Tate meeting the fire fighters who came to Elevate to help a dad who broke his leg jumping a trampoline during toddler time. It was pretty hilarious for us, not so hilarious for him i'm sure...but the kids got to see inside the fire truck.

Then came Valentines day. We went to our usual family date night spot for Valentines, Fogo De Chao. Dressed up and gave our valentine to eachother. We had a wonderful night celebrating our love for eachother. Love these humans!
Then came Ms. Lily's birthday! Can't believe my girl is now 8 yrs old! She is my heart. And such a blessing to our family. She's incredibly smart, loyal, and hilarious. She is always trying to make people laugh, she dances all the time, no matter if there is music on or not. No matter the situation, she always stays positive. She had a boy that was being unkind to her at school recently, which I tried to make sure she knew how to handle, but all she said was 'meh, I don't let him get me down. His parents are just not raising him right' lol! She loves art and expressing herself creatively. She loves to play basketball, and kickball. She always strives to do her best and is a bit of a perfectionist (not a mom trait). She tells me random facts from the books and shows she watches, she soaks up information like a sponge! She is sure that she can accomplish anything in this life she wants, no matter how impossible it may seem. I've never known anyone with as much confidence as this girl of mine, and honestly, she will accomplish anything she works hard for. I am so excited to see what the upcoming years have in store for our girl, cause she is going to rock this world. Happy Birthday to the love of my life!

We celebrated her birthday party with friends the Saturday of her baptism. We only invited a few of her closest friends to Jakes Unlimited and the kids had lots of fun playing around. She has a pretty adorable crew.
