Nacho's 1st and 2nd months
Mr. Nacho Bagacho. Oh how we are loving our new little man. He is such a joy to have in our home. We have been so busy with the three kids that I have not been able to find time to write in the this blog. And due to sleep deprivation, I can't remember alot of things that have happened the last few months. So, I will just focus on Nacho and all his cute baby things. He is cooing and interacting with us so much. My favorite part of the day is the morning when he wakes up, notices that it's day time and will look me in the eyes with a big smile cooing. He has these beautiful soft smiling eyes that I love to look into. We still won't know what color they will be for a few more months, but they have stayed pretty light green. He loves to cuddle with his daddy, and will stay sleeping with him forever! He is growing well at every check up, he is average weight and head circumferance (they were wrong about him being huge) but he is tall in the 75th percentile. He had some issues at the begining with constipation, it was sad to see him struggle every other day with the one bowel movement he would give us, and he would cry for a full hour every night after 9:00pm due to gas issues. We started giving him probiotics and changed his formula and he's been doing much better since. He enjoys breastfeeding for comfort and gets nice and cuddly with me each night which I love. Mark and I take shifts each night so we can each try to get some sleep. I am sure grateful to have Mark working from home to help me out. Not looking forward to him having to return to work come January. We are still trying to lay low in house till his immune system is stronger, but we do go out on walks, or hang out in the backyard together. He loves to be outside! If he is crying, you just take him outside and he is quiet looking up at the sky. I put up halloweeen decor in the house and he is obsessed with looking at this smiling wood pumpkin board I have on the wall. I'm going to have to leave it up year round!
He got a visit from his Aunt Nanita, Cousin Ben and Great Aunt Lynn. They of course were obsessed with him like the rest of us. It has definitly been an adjustment to have a new baby in the house, kind of forgot what that was like. But he is so worth the lack of sleep, less hangouts with friends and pee pee on the couch. I can't get enough kisses and neither can Jacob, Lily and Daddy. We love our Nachito so so much!

Nacho's first week of Life
Okay, not going to do this every week, BUT alot happens in a baby's life the first few days.
We delievered at Mercy Gilbert Hospital. I loved my experience there! All of the staff were so nice, we had one nurse throughout the entire labor and delivery. I wish I could remember her name, but I was in too much pain I guess to remeber it. She was so happy and chipper through the whole delivery, never bossed me around or made me feel concerned. She was amazing. And from Tucson which was a bonus for Mark. Then we went to postpartum care and we had one morning nurse and one night nurse, both of which were so incredibly attentive and kind. again, loved my time at MG.
I'm not one who enjoys not doing things, so recovery is hard for me mentally. We had to stay for 36 hours in the hospital because of the GBS, but once released we were so excited to go home to the kids and have them meet their new little brother. We tried to keep it a surprise, which more or less happend. The kids were so excited and it just melted my heart to see them hold Nacho and love on him. They have been wanting another sibling for so long!
My mom left after day one, which made me sad cause she is so helpful for me both physically and mentaly. Grammy has been here for the week helping out the older kids to get to school, and has been helping around the house since I'm not supposed to do much. Again, it's really hard for me to allow someone else to help with things I want to do. Mentally, I'm having a hard time as I knew I might with needing help. Oh well, get over it, right?
Nacho is so sweet! He is a good little sleeper, good at eating but we had some problems with latching at the begining, it's gotten loads better now that we are on day 6. Mark and I have been trying to figure out sleep schedules, so we are running low on sleep. However, we were talking about this and how we do not feel frustrated by it like we did with our first two. We love staying up with him, and love that we can focus on him and not have to work or go to school in the morning like with our first two.
He had his first dr. visit, and he is growing well! now at 8.1 lbs, and 21.5 inches long, he is growing very well. We purchased an owlet device, so we can sleep a little better knowing we should be alerted if his oxygen and heartbeat go off a normal range. Obviously, my anxiety has not ceased. We've had one scare, luckily it was just that the sock was falling off, but the alert just about gave me a heartattack! Don't want to hear that agian! So far, so good. Now for an unreasonable amount of photos...
