This week Mark was on spring break, and I was able to get one week off from work. What did we do with all this freedom? Go to San Diego of course!
Monday we went to the San Diego Zoo. We were hoping that Lily would get excited about the animals, but she was more interested in watching the people. To bad there isn't a zoo of people...actually I think that is called wal-mart. (lame joke). Lily got to pet some goats, I got to see the panda (which was kind of lame.) and Mark got to be freaked out by the caged snakes...I have discovered marks fear of snakes. Never knew! And yes, chasing him around with a fake snake has not gotten old since. Muaha!

| Mark comparing himself to a polar bear...he is but a cub! |
| We thought it would be a cool idea to do a family cartoon picture. Mark and I both have one from when we were kids and seemed like a cool idea...until we saw the picture. Looks nothing like us! It was pretty funny and still worth it...though I question the artists accuracy. |
Tuesday we were planning on spending the day around the beach, but Mark got the idea to look for tickets to sea world on Craigslist. He found tickets for half the price! So, we went to Sea World and Lily loved it. Probably cause the animals actually interact with the people instead of chillin' in the cage. Lily got to touch a star fish and I got to pet a sting ray. It was awesome. Mark was to afraid to touch it and thought I would die...silly man.

| This was my favorite. Sharks creep me out, taking the pictures helped to calm me...bah!! |
| Loved watching the dolphins! tried to toch one...but could not get close enough. |

| The dolphin show was a bit cheesy. Lily's face says it all. Note the king of the dolphins and the giant parrot woman...yeah. |
| They were slimy! Loved it. |
| This show was the best. Made me get all emotional when they started talking about conserving the planet. Brought back my captain planet days. |
Wednesday we went to the beach...but it was too cold to stay. It was sad, we really wanted lily to play in the sand and water. Looks like we will have to make another trip in the summer. We did get to eat fish tacos at our favorite place on mission beach and we got to take a nap on the sand which was nice...so it was not a ruined day.

| The most amazing fish tacos...totally not healthy...but worth it. |

Overall, we had a very fun trip and enjoyed the time spent together. Today I spent the day with lily, we went to the park, shopped, ate lunch with Daddy (Mark) and worked on spring cleaning. It was so nice to spend time with my little lily. I have been feeling a lot of envy towards stay at home moms. They are so lucky to be able to spend all day with their sweeties. Hopefully, this will be my future...before lily gets to big!
