Seeing the Light!

This past weekend Mark came up to Salt Lake with his Grandma Betty to attend his cousins dance recitle. I got to go and visit him and stay with him and his family for the weekend. It was so awesome to see him again, but all it did was play with our emotions!

It is going to be so nice to be able to be with eachother again! Mark told me that he is sick of me leaving him, good thing this is the last goodbye or we would really be having a hard time. This may sound pretty cheesy, but our favorite thing is to cuddle up with eachother and talk about how wonderful things will be when we are married. Hopefully this optimistic vision of our future life will not change.

So many people seem to have opinions about marriage. "It won't be as amazing as you think", "give it a couple of years and you will want him gone", "it is the best thing to wake up next to your best friend every morning"...so who is right? Does it all depend on your feelings of the person before you get married? Or is there a general consensus of what marriage is like? All I can say is that Mark and I are willing to take the risk. We are best friends, and I can't remember being happier with someone ever...especially a boy! July needs to come faster, and we need to be together...cause waiting sucks! And we are excited to prove all the un happy couples out there wrong. Sorry for being optimistic, but at least I am happy :)

  1. I think it's great that you are happy, and being optimistic. I'm probably the last person you want marriage advice from...

So here is just a great quote from one of my favorite TV shows:

"Relationships don't work they way they do on television and in the movies. Will they? Won't they? And then they finally do, and they're happy forever. Give me a break.

Bottom line: it's couples who are truly right for each other wade through the same crap as everybody else, but the big difference is they don't let it take them down. One of those two people will stand up and fight for that relationship every time. If it's right, and they're real lucky, one of them will say something."

    Good Luck!

  2. You two look great in front of the Salt Lake Temple where we were sealed 36 years ago this month. Yes...marriage is never easy, but it is SO worth it!

We can't wait to be with you next month!

    Love Always,
    Mom & Dad

  3. Thanks guys, I appreciate all of the advice and encouragement. I believe that marriage IS a gamble, but it seems that we all want to make that bet with the hopes of having happiness. I am hopeful for our happiness because as of right now, we both want to take the bet and make it work out for the best. I can't wait for our journey, be it bad or good, at least we will be willing to take the journey together. Love you guys!
