Spring is Here!

I have not written this in a while, but that's okay, I doubt anyone is actually reading it anyways. We will just call this my little marriage journal.

Mark and I are coming up on our 7 month aniversary, but it feels like we have been married for years. I was thinking yesterday driving home from work, how I have never enjoyed being with one person so much in my life, which is kind of crazy for me. There is not a moment that we are not laughing and having fun talking with each other. He is a wonderful husband, and I find myself being very lucky to have him.

We are teaching primary together now! I am so happy to finally be teaching with him, I will be honest in saying that I have never been so happy being released from a calling then when I was released as choraster to be with Mark. We teach the valient 9 class, which is 9-10 year old boys. They are so cute and it is such a fun class! I love teaching primary, and the coolest thing is that we get to see these boys grow up. hopefully they will always remember us as their cool teachers :)

I am still working at APAC, though I am feeling a little burnt out. I just need a vacation or a raise to help motivate me. Otherwise I might be looking for a new job after I reach my year mark in september. I love my job, but I just don't feel like I am being challenged enough anymore. Mark finished up his golf season well, he played in almost all the tournaments and managed to place in the top 5, which is really good. Now he is going to practice hard this summer so he can play in the tucson amatuers. It stunk to have him gone to play in the tournaments, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make for his happiness, I am very proud of my little golfer.

I have a new hobby now, it is going on nature walks and taking pictures of the things I see. be it people, buildings or all things nature. It is a great way for me to forget about work and stresses and focus on just how beautiful this world is! I am also going to try scrapbooking the pictures I take, but I think I will wait to scrapbook till I have the money to support the habit. I bought a couch too finally! it is beautiful, and I got a great deal on it! Plus Ana gave us her old kitchen table, so our place is finally looking like a home instead of a bachelor pad. Now just to get into a house! that will be the ultimate goal. If I get that raise, then maybe that goal will be closer in reach.

Well, Mark and I are very happy, life always has it's trials, but I can never say I am not blessed. Heavenly father is really looking out for us and we have always been taken care of. I am very grateful that divine design put mark and I together, because I could have never been happier then I am now.

We need a vacation!

Actually...I NEED A VACATION...Mark just has to go with me.

Life has been good to mark and I. We are very blessed and I should be very grateful for everything the lord has given us. However, I just want a vacation with mark so I can learn to breath again! I love my job, but lately it has been stressing me out! Our recruiter was fired back in January, so since then I have been playing the recruiter until they find someone to take it's place. I thought it would be a good way to gain experience, but all it is, is making me spend longer hours at work and piling on the work load with the same amount of pay. I have been trying to get the guts to ask for a pay raise...but I don't want to seem whinny. So, I have decided that in for memorial day weekend, mark and I are going to go back to our honey moon spot in San Diego and finish our honeymoon (since we only got two days.) Otherwise, I am going to pass out with ulcers in my stomach (which I think I might have, cause my stomach has been hurting lately)

Now that I am done venting...marriage is the best and I married the best man in the world! Mark is just so good at making me feel better and making me feel loved. He is competing in golf tournaments these days and is planning on being gone during spring break to play in a tournament in Phoenix :( I will miss him terribly! But I guess I need to get used to it. He is planning on playing in the Tucson Amateur this fall, so I know he will be practicing his bum off. All in all, life is good...until you take it to seriously.

P.S...I love mark

5 months down, a whole eternity to go...

It has been a whole 5 months since mark and I married and it feels like so much longer! That is a good thing by the way. We are very happy and everyday is more fun then the last. Mark is still going to school and looks like that will be the 5 year plan till he finishes medical school. He is still playing golf for pima and has hopes of going pro someday. I am working as an HRA for a company called APAC customer services inc., I LOVE MY JOB! I come home exhausted everyday and I LOVE IT! I get to work with people to make their lives happier and I get to find jobs for people while gaining new perspective on life everyday! It is seriously a blessing to have this job and I really lucked out in getting it.

I am now the corester for relief society, which was a big bummer because I wanted to be a primary teacher with Mark...that would have been so much fun! We would have had a blast teaching together! but I guess I get to learn a new skill.

We have established a tradition. Every tuesday we go to famous sams for their 35 cent wing night, we have been going since we got married and have made friends with the waitresses, so they give us some hook ups. We also have our official date night every friday, which will NOT be ruiend after we have babies...we will love our children, but not that much :)

Speaking of babies...I am not pregnant yet. yesssss!

Well, that is the update for now!

Wedding & Honeymoon

I have not written in this blog for a long time! But since I don't feel like going to bed, thought I would put in some updates.

So, we are now officially married...YAY!! The wedding was wonderful, and my sister Ana did a great job planning the reception. The entire sealing I was so focused on not crying, that I hardly paid any attention to what was said! Probably not such a good thing, but hopefully my family can tell me when I need it. It was such a relief to finally be married to Mark. Oh how I love that man! We took pictures outside the Temple, but it was so dang hot outside! We were sweating so much and the kids did not want to stay very long, so I didn't get as many as I would have liked. And the photographers film was damaged, so some of the pictures were lost...so hopefully I don't end up with altsimers disease and I will always remember our wedding day.
We had part of our honeymoon directly after the sealing. We stayed at a very nice hotel in pheonix for the night, and got the honeymoon sweet (oo la la!) My favorite part was the rose petals on the floor leading to the bedroom where our sheets had rose petals in a shape of a heart and porno music playing in the background...hilarious!! That was a fun night :)

The reception was beautiful and exactly the way I always wanted it! I had beautiful flowers, a beautiful cake, beautiful canopy and a beautifly handsome husband! Other than being married to Mark, my favorite part of the whole event was finally having my brothers and sister all together agian, the first time in 7 years! It was so much fun to dance and laugh with my brothers again!
As for the honeymoon. Mark and I had to wait two weeks to go, because that is when I could get some time off from work. We went to sandiego and enjoyed the sun and ocean! We will live in sandiego someday...I AM CERTAIN! We rode the rollercoaster at mission beach and mark was scared for his life! haha what a weenie! It was so much fun to be just the two of us and to know that even though we had to go back home to reality, we were at least going to do it together!

Graduated and Ready for life!

I am now a graduate with a Bachelors in Sociology for Brigham Young University Idaho! It feels great to be finished with classes. I am going to be working in the human resources departement for a company called APAC, which should help to bring in the bacon till Mark finishes school. I am now home, able to be with Mark, our long distant journey apart is over and now we can focus on the rest of our lives together. We are hoping to find a house, since the market is so low right now and Obamas tax break for new home buyers, it seems like the best time to get into a house. There are less then 2 months left till the wedding and we are feeling the pressure of getting everything set for our future marriage, but whatever happens, happens...at least that is what Mark tells me. For some reason, I am not as stressed as I thought I would be? Everyone else around us seems to be stressed out for us, but Mark and I don't understand what all the fuss is about the wedding and the marriage...can't we just be happy and let that be enough? We are not getting married to have a wedding, we are getting married to share a life together. Everyone is different, Mark and I are very laid back people (him more than me) and whatever does not happen, we will live without.

Seeing the Light!

This past weekend Mark came up to Salt Lake with his Grandma Betty to attend his cousins dance recitle. I got to go and visit him and stay with him and his family for the weekend. It was so awesome to see him again, but all it did was play with our emotions!

It is going to be so nice to be able to be with eachother again! Mark told me that he is sick of me leaving him, good thing this is the last goodbye or we would really be having a hard time. This may sound pretty cheesy, but our favorite thing is to cuddle up with eachother and talk about how wonderful things will be when we are married. Hopefully this optimistic vision of our future life will not change.

So many people seem to have opinions about marriage. "It won't be as amazing as you think", "give it a couple of years and you will want him gone", "it is the best thing to wake up next to your best friend every morning"...so who is right? Does it all depend on your feelings of the person before you get married? Or is there a general consensus of what marriage is like? All I can say is that Mark and I are willing to take the risk. We are best friends, and I can't remember being happier with someone ever...especially a boy! July needs to come faster, and we need to be together...cause waiting sucks! And we are excited to prove all the un happy couples out there wrong. Sorry for being optimistic, but at least I am happy :)

Still waiting...

So it is now 4 months till the wedding, and I am SICK of waiting!!! It is just getting harder and harder to be away and I feel like I am taking crazy pills! School is getting more demanding, wedding plans need to be made and I don't even get to see my babe to make me happier! I would suggest to everyone out there contemplating a long distance relationship to NOT DO IT! Though, I wouldn't change being with Mark for the world, it is just really hard have to kiss goodnight over the phone. Right now I am waiting for him to call so I can say goodnight, but I think he might have fallen asleep. If I was there I could just attack him! *sigh*
Two more weeks and I will see him for about four days, then it is not till July 23rd for graduation that we will see eachother again. I am being told by family that someday I will wish we could be long distance, but I don't think I would wish this on my worst enemy.
I purchased my dress! It is so pretty, not what I had expected to buy. It is a mermaid style dress with a long train, cap sleves and lace edges on the bottom of the dress. I saved a lot of money and I am going to look like one hot bride...though I should probably be going for purity...oh well!
I just need time to go faster, mark and I need to be together and this wait is killing me! I can do this!!! endure, endure, endure....
