I am George Castanza!

MARK ANDREA

The other night Mark and I were driving home from the store, when he turned to me and said, "honey, I have realized something...I am like Jerry Seinfeld, and you are like George Castanza." Before I decided to be offended by his statement, I thought about it and realized just how true he was! If anyone watches seinfeld, they would know that Jerry always has good things happen to him and George has terrible luck and nothing seems to go right for him. Here are some examples of how Mark is like Jerry Seinfeld:
1. He found 75$ randomly in the backseat of his Car.
2. He won first place in his golf tournament even though he "claims" he was playing the worst he ever has played.
3. His paycheck was bigger then he thought it would be.
And 4, He was able to request the exact schedule he wanted at work.
Now, reasons why I am George Castanza:
1. Cracked windshield
2. Radio in car breaks
3. All classes that I was trying to fill for work were cancelled.
4. My second hand helper from work was fired, leaving me with more work then ever.
5. Got a flat tire this morning after dropping off mark from work.
6. Got sick earlier this week and was in a lot of pain...A LOT of pain.
7. Candid picture moment when my mom wore the same exact outfit as me to go shopping and my batteries in my camera were out! classic.

So, as you can see, I have not had the best of luck this past wek, but...at least mark was able to have good luck, I am very happy for him! I guess next week I will just have to do the opposite of what I did this week. I am just glad I survived :)

Becoming obsessed

I am obsessed with taking pictures! I got a new camera for my birthday, and ever since then I have been taking pictures every chance I get! I will be sitting with mark watching tv, and then I will whip out the camera and take a picture of him. Lately he has been making a groaning, crying sound everytime the flash goes off. It's as if it is burning his skin! Well, he is the one who wanted to support my hobbies...now he gets to be my little super model :) Everywhere I go, driving in cars, sitting in my office, talking to my family, walking around town...all I do is try to find things to take pictures of! Everything is a picture to me, and I want to capture every moment! It is crazy. Soooo...here are some pictures i have taken, I am learning through photography books how to take good pictures. Who knows? Maybe this little obsession will pay off?!

Julio did NOT Get Me Pregnant!

We went to the Julio Iglesias concert this past week, my mom was so excited to see him! The highlight of the night? When she screamed 'He is so beautiful!' It was the funniest thing I have ever heard! He was amazing in concert, amazing voice, but the overall greatness of the concert was to see how much mom enjoyed seeing her life Idol and life long crush, she was floating on Air and it was so wonderful to watch.
I was going to play a trick on Mark for fathers day and buy a pregnancy test and put his present inside so he could think I was pregnant. But then I started to think I might be pregnant and I got scared. So, I told him about the trick the night before, he started to freak out a little and then asked me to take the test so we could stop tourturing ourselves. Mark admitted that he was a little excited, which was a great thing to see because I thought he would be just really scared. I took the test and needless to say, no baby is on it's way this time. We were both relieaved to know that we still have more time to prepare for a special little person in our lives, but we were also a little disappointed that we got nervous for nothing. It was a precious moment and a little glimpse of how it will be when the time is right. I am very excited for the day that Mark and I can be parents, but I am glad that we still have time to just being the two of us.

Best 26th Birthday Ever!

It was my 26th birthday this week, it was so wonderful! I took the day off and Mark and I went to Phoenix for the day. We had no idea what we would do there and everyone we asked for cool sugestions had nothing to give! So we decided to go where ever with no plans, which turned out to be a great idea! We went to Encanto park, which turned out way to hot, so we left. But we came across a beautiful neighborhood and had fun dreaming of owning one of the homes on the historic street. We then went to the scottsdale mall and spent 5 hours looking around and shopping. We even took a nap in the mall! We decided to sit down for a bit and ended up falling asleep on the comfy couches...we were tired ;) For dinner we went to this pizza resturant called Cibo's, we almost missed the place because it was in a neighborhood in a house. It was a beautiful home and amazing pizza! Definitly a do over! Overall the day was fun because it was just mark and I. As long as we are together, we are having an amazing time! I got Rock Band 2 from mark for my birthday, the in laws got me an amazing fancy new camera so I can get into photography and grandma O got me tickets to the goo goo dolls concert. My mommy gave me lots of new accessories and clothing, always nice to have a fashionable mommy to help you pick out cute things. I had a great birthday and an amazing week, best 26th birthday ever!

We like change!

Looks like this season is going to be full of new begginings. I finally got that raise I was hoping for, a whole .29 cents...which doesn't seem that impressive, but that is about 600$ more a year. Better then nothing, right? right.

Mark and I have decided to be extra physically active this season, and forever more. We are working out every day, no matter what! Mark is working with a personal trainer, and doing some of the gym classes with me. I love having a gym membership, so helpful. We have been going to spin classes and I love them, I want to certify and teach spinning someday...I think I can do it. I am also running again, and I am up to 1.5 miles in 12 min without stoping, so I am on the right track. I am hoping to get myself to 5 miles non stop by the end of june.

I have volunteered to be part of my works month of fitness and weight loss by joining the 'biggest loser' challenge. if I lose the most weight in the month of may out of 10 people, then all of the money raised will go to my favorite charity, I have chosen 'casa de los ninos'...I am excited and nervous! I don't like to have others depending on me to lose weight, but it is really good motivation :)

We went to the pima county fair this past week, it was a lot of fun, and a good way to kick off our fitness month ;/ Mark and I ate so much fair food...it was awful! but the next day we started our new goal of getting in shape. It was worth it :) So far this month is looking great...guess we will just have to live it and see :)

Spring is Here!

I have not written this in a while, but that's okay, I doubt anyone is actually reading it anyways. We will just call this my little marriage journal.

Mark and I are coming up on our 7 month aniversary, but it feels like we have been married for years. I was thinking yesterday driving home from work, how I have never enjoyed being with one person so much in my life, which is kind of crazy for me. There is not a moment that we are not laughing and having fun talking with each other. He is a wonderful husband, and I find myself being very lucky to have him.

We are teaching primary together now! I am so happy to finally be teaching with him, I will be honest in saying that I have never been so happy being released from a calling then when I was released as choraster to be with Mark. We teach the valient 9 class, which is 9-10 year old boys. They are so cute and it is such a fun class! I love teaching primary, and the coolest thing is that we get to see these boys grow up. hopefully they will always remember us as their cool teachers :)

I am still working at APAC, though I am feeling a little burnt out. I just need a vacation or a raise to help motivate me. Otherwise I might be looking for a new job after I reach my year mark in september. I love my job, but I just don't feel like I am being challenged enough anymore. Mark finished up his golf season well, he played in almost all the tournaments and managed to place in the top 5, which is really good. Now he is going to practice hard this summer so he can play in the tucson amatuers. It stunk to have him gone to play in the tournaments, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make for his happiness, I am very proud of my little golfer.

I have a new hobby now, it is going on nature walks and taking pictures of the things I see. be it people, buildings or all things nature. It is a great way for me to forget about work and stresses and focus on just how beautiful this world is! I am also going to try scrapbooking the pictures I take, but I think I will wait to scrapbook till I have the money to support the habit. I bought a couch too finally! it is beautiful, and I got a great deal on it! Plus Ana gave us her old kitchen table, so our place is finally looking like a home instead of a bachelor pad. Now just to get into a house! that will be the ultimate goal. If I get that raise, then maybe that goal will be closer in reach.

Well, Mark and I are very happy, life always has it's trials, but I can never say I am not blessed. Heavenly father is really looking out for us and we have always been taken care of. I am very grateful that divine design put mark and I together, because I could have never been happier then I am now.

We need a vacation!

Actually...I NEED A VACATION...Mark just has to go with me.

Life has been good to mark and I. We are very blessed and I should be very grateful for everything the lord has given us. However, I just want a vacation with mark so I can learn to breath again! I love my job, but lately it has been stressing me out! Our recruiter was fired back in January, so since then I have been playing the recruiter until they find someone to take it's place. I thought it would be a good way to gain experience, but all it is, is making me spend longer hours at work and piling on the work load with the same amount of pay. I have been trying to get the guts to ask for a pay raise...but I don't want to seem whinny. So, I have decided that in for memorial day weekend, mark and I are going to go back to our honey moon spot in San Diego and finish our honeymoon (since we only got two days.) Otherwise, I am going to pass out with ulcers in my stomach (which I think I might have, cause my stomach has been hurting lately)

Now that I am done venting...marriage is the best and I married the best man in the world! Mark is just so good at making me feel better and making me feel loved. He is competing in golf tournaments these days and is planning on being gone during spring break to play in a tournament in Phoenix :( I will miss him terribly! But I guess I need to get used to it. He is planning on playing in the Tucson Amateur this fall, so I know he will be practicing his bum off. All in all, life is good...until you take it to seriously.

P.S...I love mark
